HORSEBACK RIDING at MERITT BUFFALO RANCH

Hello, my name is Cory Lynn Pace. The horse beneath me is Smoking Joe. I am the ranch manager of the Meritt Bois D’Arc Buffalo Ranch, and Joe is one of many of my “bomb proof” trail horses. Along with all of the unique services and events that we offer at the Ranch, I would like to invite you to come for a nice relaxing horse back ride. I can take anyone along that is eight years or older, no experience is necessary for a horse back ride at the ranch. I have enough horses to take groups up to ten at a time. If you happen to have a group larger than ten, we can accommodate you by taking multiple rides.

Come in the winter, spring, summer, or fall; all seasons are great for horseback riding here in Texas. If it is a little cool, bring a jacket or coat, if it is a little hot, bring your shades and sunscreen. Come for the day, we have plenty of room for you and your family, friends, or co-workers to stretch your legs. We offer pasture hay ride tours, where you can get closer to a herd of American bison (buffalo) than you thought you ever might, or wanted to.

We offer many menu options, prepared and served outdoors by a huge bonfire. How does a charcoal grilled buffalo burger sound, or a nice low-fat, high-protein buffalo steak? All our meat is grass fed and produced here at the ranch, and we also have meat sales for your convenience on site.

Any time of the day or any time of the week can be arranged with reservations at least 24 hours prior to the date you would like come to the ranch; larger groups take a little more time to arrange, so please, get your reservations in as soon as you can. Crafts and outdoor games can be arranged for the kids; we have a singing cowboy, and western gun slingers that can entertain, while you relax around an open fire. Pack up your fishing pole and fish in our stocked farm ponds. Bring your sweetheart for a romantic sunset horse ride, or your wife for an anniversary that she will never forget. Hotel accommodations on site are always available with reservations.
